Description:

Spider’s Web, Agatha Christie’s clever and fast-paced mystery comedy! Set in an English country house full of secrets, the play follows the imaginative and quick-thinking Clarissa Hailsham-Brown, who unexpectedly finds herself dealing with a very real crime—and must rely on her creativity and confidence to stay one step ahead.


Packed with witty dialogue, surprising twists, and colorful characters, Spider’s Web blends suspense and humor in a story that keeps audiences guessing while delivering plenty of laughs.


We are seeking enthusiastic performers with clear storytelling skills, good comic timing, and a willingness to jump into bold characters and classic British style.

Audition Requirements:

There is nothing to prepare for the audition other than familiarizing yourself with the story and characters of Spiders Web. Click here   to view a synopsis and character breakdown that you can review. You can also start practicing your standard British dialect. The audition will look much like jumping straight to a call back where we'll call you in groups to read for the different characters.


Check back here closer to auditions to download and review the select scenes we'll be reading during auditions. The important thing is to come prepared with character choices.


Cast Size:  22 double cast, and all other students will be given the opportunity to serve and receive specialized training in major production roles.


Class Fee: $250

Production Fee: $125


NOTE:

This production is for High School students only.


Since it is a class, there is no additional Tuesday/Thursday class requirement.


Participation in this production requires enrollment in this Theater Production Class. There is a $250 class fee and a $125 production fee.

MVA enrichment funds can only be applied to the class fee.


This class meets Fridays from 5-7pm and the show is rehearsed Fridays 7pm to 9pm and Saturdays 9am to 2pm.
